Brain Facts The brain looks soft and squooshy. It is 10% fat. There is skin all around your brain. Your brain is red and maroon and brown. It has lines and it’s wrinkley. It’s like a big sponge

The brain helps us move, think, write, touch, smell and more. It’s an amazing part of our body and is powerful in our head. Did you now the special biggest part in our brain is the Cerebrum. The Cerebrum makes up 85% of the brain’s weight and its easy to see.

Brain fact What other parts of our body help our brain work? Lungs Breathing Heart This girl is breathing nice fresh air.

Brain Fact Do you know how much an adults brain weighs? Is it 1,400g? 1,300g? 1,700g? 1,800g? Or 1,900g? Let me tell you! It weighs between 1,300g and 1,400g. WOW!! So big!

Now you now how much an adult brain weighs. Where is your brain in your body? The answer is in you head. Brain Fact

Cerebrum – Frontal, Parietal, Temporal and Occipital Lobes Cerebellum Limbic System – Amygdala – Hippocampus – Hypothalamus – Thalamus Brain Stem – Midbrain – Pons – Medulla Now do you know what the different brain parts are called? There are a lot.

Brain Fact Do you know what is good for to keep your brain healthy? Having sleep, exercising, drinking water and eating healthy food. Now I’m getting so strong like him!

Brain Fact Without our brain and brain stem we cannot live. This is Nickolas Coke. He is one of only 4 babies that has survived more than a few days with just a brain stem and no brain. Nickolas lived for 3 years and 11 months. It is very sad.

Brain Fact Do you now how many brain we have? Only one! So make sure you look after it! I can’t believe how many brains we have. Just one? Really? What about more!?

Memories are a beautiful thing to have. Do you now why we forget stuff ? It is sad right? Medicines and chemicals we put in our body can make us forget. If we don’t pay attention we forget stuff. There is also diseases that can make us forget. Brain Fact

The cerebrum has two halves with one on either side of the head. Scientists think that the right half helps you think about things like music and art and the left side thinks of things like math's and science. Scientists know for sure that the right half of the cerebrum controls the left side of your body and the left half controls the right side. Weird! I just love memories. Now for more brain facts!

I can’t believe how many jobs our brain has! Sadly, things can go wrong with our brain, like it getting hurt or getting diseases like cancer, abnormal growths and tumors. Viruses may cause inflammation and swelling in the brains tissues. A stroke reduces oxygen and blood in the brain that leads to cells in our brain dying.
