5 5 Examples Purchase to Pay –Poor performing bench shows an accounts payable clerk will process around 6900 invoices per year –Accounts payable clerks in world class companies today will process around 21,225 invoices per year –To achieve this all invoices need to arrive with purchase orders so a strong purchase processes is needed –All departments need to raise purchase orders –IT technology needs to match goods received with invoice and orders –Payment to suppliers needs to automatically be paid on time With these efficiencies the UK can compete cost effectively with low cost economies
