Who we are: ALWAYS is a non-profit law office that empowers youth and young adults affected by homelessness, trafficking, and abuse with free legal representation and advice. Who we serve: Unaccompanied youth and young adults up to age 24 Trafficking survivors of any age

Arizona Partnership to End Domestic Trafficking Partners include two homeless youth providers, one adult housing provider, a university research office, a public awareness and training partner and ALWAYS. Funded by an HHS FYSB 2014 Demonstration Grant for Domestic Victims of Severe Forms of Human Trafficking The Partnership seeks to Establish service linkage through a coordinated network of victim-centered and trauma-informed services Provide comprehensive case management for domestic trafficking victims Increase training to targeted professions and the public Make it easier for survivors to access services (housing, counseling, legal, etc)!

Most Common Legal Services to USC Trafficking Survivors Family Law Child custody (often involving a third party) Visitation Addressing Past Criminal History Requesting FBI background checks Motions to “Set Aside” criminal history Good cause exceptions for fingerprint clearance cards

Factors Relevant to USC Trafficking Survivors Not always interested in cooperating with police Worried about their safety and that of their children Often interested in moving forward with a clean break Sometimes also at odds with caregivers of their children or answering to CPS
