Homer Homer was an author who started the tradition of writing epics. He wrote two of the most famous epics, The Iliad and The Odyssey. The Odyssey is his most influential writing which inspired many modern authors and writers. Some Examples Are: -The Incredible Journey -Moby Dick -The Hobbit
