For centuries, refractory has been the sole material able to resist very high temperature ….. some thousand years later, nothing better has been found.

1- Accurate drawings Drawings are often determined with the assistance of the casting machine manufacturer. I. Imperative conditions to obtain high quality crucibles

2 – Precise mold required To obtain a precise mold, different steps have to be achieved : 1 – Reference model – made from plaster - 2 – Master Mold – made from plaster - 3 – Mother Mold – made from very hard plaster - 4 – Working Molds – made from refractory - from which 50/100 crucibles will be made

3 – Strict selection of raw materials Fused silica and other elements have to be conformed to the physical and chemical characteristics which have been defined to meet with 3 criteria : - thermal shock resistance - refractarity - resistance to metallic corrosion With each delivery of raw material, the checking of the “granulometrie” allows a good fluidity of the liquid paste

5 – Oven time Temperatures are carefully ramped-up in stages Systematically checked every firing

6 – Final tests Before release of crucibles for sale, lot samples are carefully checked against strenuous conditions.
