We use the Future Perfect tense to talk about actions that have started or are completed before a particular point in the future. We look back on the action from that point. Insert the verbs below in the future perfect. Example: He _____________ the suitcase by tomorrow. (to pack) He will have packed the suitcase by tomorrow.

1. Anne ____________ her bike by next week. (to repair) 2. We ____________ the washing by 8 o’clock. (to do) 3. She ___________ Paris by the end of next year.( to visit) 4. I _____________ this by 10 o’clock. (to finish) 5. Sam _____________ by next week. (to leave)

1. Anne will have repaired her bike by next week. 2. We will have done the washing by 8 o’clock. 3. She will have visited Paris by the end of next year. 4. I will have finished this by 10 o’clock. 5. Sam will have left by next week.

1. Bob will have replaced the money by the time his father finds out about it. 2. Nancy will have made a cake by the time you arrive. 3. The movie will have started by the time we get there.

 We can also use a future perfect continuous tense, where the action is likely to continue into the future. Example: We have been working since 3 o’clock. In half na hour it will be 5 o’clock. Then we will have been working for two hours.
