World Biomes Marine. Distribution The marine biome is the biggest biome in the world. It covers about 70% of the earth. It includes five main oceans:

Oceans can be found all around the world 75% of the planets surface is consumed by oceans The four main oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and.
Intertidal Zone The intertidal zone is a very harsh environment. The organisms that live here have adaptions that allow them to live both submerged with.

Biotic Factors Animals –Fish: Krill, Shrimp, Crab, Salmon, Halibut, Ect. –Marine mammals: Orcas, white sided dolphins gray whale, humpback whales Plants:sponges, microbes, seaweed, fungi/ bacteria Moss, algea, bacteria, cyanobacteria Fishermen/ hunters

Animals Fish There are thousands of different fish in the pacific ocean the some consist of –Salmon, Ling cod, Flounder, Halibut, Kelp fish, cod, dog sharks The Scavenger fish –Star fish, jelly fish, crab, ect. Marine Mammals Many whales inhabit the north pacific –Killer whales (Orca,) Humpback whales, Beluga whales, Grey whales, bowhead whales, Blue whales, Right whales, and mink whales, and sperm whales. You can also find three different kinds of dolphins/ porpoises in the north pacific. –Dalls porpoise, Harbor porpoise, and the pacific white sided dolphins The area of the north pacific is a very fertile area of the ocean bringing many species from far and wide.

Abiotic Factors Water (temp and depth) Sunlight Landscape

Temperature –The temp of the water is a very significant factor in the north pacific marine life, because it affects the chemical reactions that happen in the water. Most of the animals live in the top layer of the water because it is all about the same temperature, thanks to the energy from the sun. The sun is a part of the reason the plants and one celled organisms thrive in these photonic zone, creating food for other living creatures.
