EPUR NATURE : A company which designs and builds reed bed filters for waste water treatment from 50 to 5000 p.e.

The Phragmifilter® System Roussillon plant, Vaucluse, 1250 p.e Waste water treatment by reed bed filters, according to the research of Over 650 PLANTS BUILT In France, but also in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Portugal …

The Phragmifilter® System Treatment of wastewater by reed bed filters Roussillon plant, Vaucluse, 1250 p.e. Simple operation at low cost, with low or even zero energy consumption Reliable and efficient Integrated treatment of sewage sludge Perfect integration into natural landscape Can be built with local materials by local labor No odors, no noise, no mosquitoes Low carbon footprint

The general principle Arrival of raw wastewater 1 st siphon -Stage beds in parallel- Treatment by reed bed filters Retention of up to 90% of suspended solids 2 nd siphon Discharge Collection hole -Stage 2- Treatment by reed bed filters – 2 beds in parallel

Dimensioning of a typical Phragmifilter® plant  If no other constraints : 1.2 m 2.PE -1 at the 1 st stage (first stage) and 0.8 m 2.PE -1 (second stage)  To avoid clogging  rest periods  feeding/rest period of 3.5/7 at the 1 st stage and 7/7 at the second stage

Panorama

Design of a typical French CW fed raw wastewater designed by EPURNATURE (1st stage of a Phragmifilter®) Dimensioning based on an acceptable organic and hydraulic load :  max. 100 g COD per m² and day (total area of first stage)  max. 0,90 m dry weather hydraulic load (bed in operation)

Roussillon Phragmifilter ® CW plant : 1250 p.e. built in 1998
