How to give a PowerPoint Presentation Staff Development Group and Central Computing Services

Aims At the end of the workshop You will have created a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. You will have presented it to an audience You will know how to find out more about PowerPoint

About the workshop Session 1 (CCS) –Create a simple presentation using Microsoft Powerpoint –Address practicalities of presenting it Session 2 (SDG) –Give your presentation –Suggest topics for follow up sessions

Session 1 PowerPoint basics & practice (60 mins) Break (10 mins) Create a 5 minute presentation (60 mins) Break (5 mins) Survival skills for giving a presentation (45 mins)

Session 2 Presentation techniques (15 mins) Participants present their shows & receive feedback from SDG (135 mins) Overview of more advanced Powerpoint features Feedback on topics for further training.
