What is ENT WIKI?  This is a software based on Wikipedia engine  This can serve as a personalized notebook for a student  This is an offline resource base created exclusively for the use of students of otolaryngology  This resource contains materials published in all my websites

Advantages of ENT WIKI  This can be installed and run from the hard disk  Portable version that runs out of pen drive is also available  This software is suitable for collaborative editing  Resources can easily be searched because of its inbuilt robust search engine  This can easily be updated  Resources can easily be added / Existing resources can also be edited

Components of this software  Apache server  Coding is done using PHP  SQL server is used for database  Inbuilt Mozilla browser

System requirements  Processor with good processing power  Windows operating system both 32 and 64 bits  Minimum of 2 GB ram is a must for smooth running of this software  30 GB free space in the hard disk for installable version

Advantages of installable version  Can be installed to the hard drive  It runs faster if installed to the hard drive  It is reliable  Cheaper to disseminate

Installation sequence  Pop in the entwiki dvd into the drive  Double click on the ent wiki icon  Installation begins  Need to be patient because installation is a time consuming process  Give inputs the installer seeks

Starting ENT WIKI

Firefox warning

Stopping ENT WIKI  Close Mozilla browser  Right click on drtbalu server icon in the system tray  Select stop drtbalu server  Wait till the server stops

Pen drive version  This need not be installed  Plug in the pen drive to usb port  Explore the files inside the pen drive  Double click on drtbalu.exe icon  Wait for the server to initialize  Closing the server should be performed from the system tray
