Nouns are... A PERSON, PLACE, THING, OR IDEA! THERE ARE FOUR DIFFERENT TYPES OF NOUNS *CONCRETE *ABSTRACT *COMPOUND *COLLECTIVE

Concrete nouns!  The yellow flowers I planted were blooming in the summer.  The smell of gingerbread filled the kitchen during Christmas.  The sunset was yellow and red and it filled the whole sky.  I was working on my homework, when my pencil broke suddenly.  The rain felt so cold when I walked to my mailbox yesterday. Concrete nouns are names something that can be used with your five senses.

What is the concrete noun?  Pick the concrete noun in the sentence. The girl got a spoonful of sugar to make the cookies. The concrete noun is sugar, you can use some of your 5 senses. (feel or smell) Which is the concrete noun?
