Legislative Branch

To tax the people, raise the army and navy to defend our nation, declare war, create a court system, and coin money.

What powers are limited? A bill saying you can’t criticize the national government

How is the law made? Write a bill, go to committee, get a majority vote of congress, get the president to approve the bill.

They have to be 30 years old. They have to live in the U.S. for 9 years. Kentucky state senate

For making laws that protect our rights and promote our welfare.

The main part of the legislative branch is to write bills that are possible to become a law.

The House of Representatives is made up of 435 elected members, divided among the 50 states in proportion to their total population.
