Communicable Diseases Contagious: spread by direct or indirect contact Brainstorm: with a partner, brainstorm what you think is the most common communicable disease.

Treatment Treatment depends on the type of pathogen that causes the disease. Antibiotic- substance that kills or slows the growth of bacteria For Viral infections, you can only treat the symptoms, such as headaches or runny noses.
