Early Life, Military Career, and Death Charles was born in Grosvenor Square, London, England. - Cornwallis had two older brothers. One of the two was a Royal Navy Admiral and the other eventually inherited earldom or rank from Cornwallis’ son. Attended school at Eton College and Clare College in England. - Completed his schoolwork in Turin, Italy and shortly after was sent to the Seven Years’ War. Participated in The Battle of Minden a year after the completion of the Seven Years’ War. - Weeks after this, they defeated Saxon troops in the Battle of Lutterberg Died in July of 1805 of a fever in Ghazipur, India - He is buried there, nearby the Ganges River.
