Nepal -Nepal is a landlocked country located in Southern Asia -It contains 8 of the 10 world’s highest peaks -143, 351 square km of land -16% arable land -3 sections: lowlands, central hill region and the Himalayas Infoplease.com -5 Development Regions -14 Administrative Zones -75 Districts

Agriculture in Nepal -Over 80% work in agriculture -Rice is the main crop -Lowlands: rice, wheat, barley, pulses, oilseed, jute, tobacco, indigo, opium -Hills: rice, corn, wheat, barley, vegetables, mustard -Mountains: potatoes, barley and buckwheat as well as yaks and mountain goats Flickr.com
