To attend CIC Institutes and to be eligible to obtain the CIC designation, and individual must be a licensed agent, broker, or solicitor; or Have at least two years of full-time experience as a practitioner in insurance or risk management; or Have served for at least two years as a full-time insurance faculty member at an accredited college or university.

IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS CIC RESPONSIBILITIES –Provide the faculty members and the educational consultant. –Supply notebooks containing institute outlines, exhibits and forms for each participant. –Supply name badges, formalized participant list and certificate of participation for each participant. –Supply and administer exam. –Grade exams and notify participants of his/her results. –Create participant records for each person attending. –Provide certification for continuing education credit for state licensing. –Pay for faculty and honoraria, lodging meals and travel. SPONSORING AGENCY/COMPANY RESPONSIBITIES –Provide classroom suitable, according to CIC specifications, for the two and one half day-long institute. –Provide an on-site coordinator to assist Education Consultant. –Provide overhead projector and large screen for use by instructors. –Supply registration and break refreshments. –Pay the Society the prescribed course fee..
