Animation Portfolio Student Name :

Task 1 – Learn the Basics Your task is to complete a simple 3 second animation to get used to the interface and the way that the software functions. Try to keep it as simple as possible - you will get your chance to develop something clever in the next task. Focus on making sure that you make the movement in the animation realistic and keep the movements simple. A bit of math’s for you: 12 frames per second x 3 second animation = 36 frames to take! You must be able to show you can: Task 1.1 – Create a 3 Second animation (use multiple screenshots to show the animation movement)

Task 1.1 – Create a 3 Second animation Use screenshots, annotated text boxes and any other method you feel suitable to show evidence in this section.

Task 2 – Creating a Storyboard You should now create a full storyboard for your main animation, the storyboard will be hand drawn and scanned in to put in your portfolio. You storyboard template is available on the website. You must be able to show you can: Task 2.1 – Create and Scan a Storyboard

Use screenshots, annotated text boxes and any other method you feel suitable to show evidence in this section.

Task 3 – Create the Main Animation Your task is now to make your animation following the storyboard you have already had approved. There are few golden rules that you will need to make sure you follow: Make sure that you make your animation based on 12 frames per second. Have all of your characters and set designed and made before you start filming. Try to film you entire animation in one lesson. You must be able to show you can: Task 3.1 – Create your Main Animation Task 3.2 – Export your Main Animation as a Video File Task 3.3 – Import Video into MovieMaker and add Titles and Effects Task 3.4 – Export finished Movie
