Physician Density Questions 1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? Norway has the highest physician density out 1,000 with a whopping 4 physicians. I think this is because Norway is a wealthy country so they would naturally have more physicians. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? India, Somalia, China, Madagascar, and Senegal have the lowest Physician Density with 1 for every 1,000 people. I think this is because these are poor and largely populated countries. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think they are where they are in the rankings? Use the data to help answer the questions. The fifth and sixth countries are Canada and India. Canada is developed, while India is undeveloped. I think they are where they are in the rankings because of India’s large population and Canada’s strong economy.

Physician Density Questions (CONT.) 4.Look at the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help answer the question. The last four countries, 6 – 10, are evenly ranked with 1 per 1 thousand. These are China, India, Madagascar, and Senegal. They are all developing countries. I think they are where they are because, in India and China, they have a large population, while, in Madagascar and Senegal, they have bad economies. In order to make it to the top 5 spots the countries would have to make medical school more affordable and have good professors. 5.Name another county (Other than the U.S.) that stands out to you in the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. Out of the other countries, I am most impressed with Japan. Japan has a large population and they have the 4 th best physician density on the chart. Japan has 2 physicians out of every thousand people, making it easy to have good medical attention when needed.

Oil Consumption Questions 1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The United States has the largest Oil Consumption on the chart. I think this is because the amount of gasoline we use everyday to fuel our cars. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Somalia has the lowest oil consumption on the chart. I think that this is because Somalia is a poor country, so they don’t have cars, so there is not a large need for oil in that division. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think they are where they are in the rankings? Use the data to help answer the questions. The fifth and sixth countries on the chart are Canada and Norway. These are developed countries that have smaller populations. I think they don’t use as much oil because they don’t need it for manufacturing or as gasoline.

Use data from any information to help answer the question. The 7 th and 8 th countries on the chart are Luxemburg and Madagascar. Luxemburg is developed, while Madagascar is not. In order to get Madagascar to the top 5 rankings. I think they should drill for oil and use money to buy more gasoline consuming products. 5.Name another county (Other than the U.S.) that stands out to you in the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. I think that India really stands out to be. It’s oil consumption is dramatically low compared to China’s, and they have about the same population. This is mostly because the metropolis area of China is large and wealthy.

I think this is because China has such a large population so there are naturally more internet users. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Somalia has the lowest amount of Internet users on the chart. I think this is because Somalia is a poor country and not every resident can afford a computer. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think they are where they are in the rankings? Use the data to help answer the questions. The 5 th and 6 th ranked countries are Canada and Norway. They are both developed countries, but do to there low populations, they have a low amount of internet users.

Use data from any information to help answer the question The 7 th and 8 th ranked countries are Senegal and Luxemburg. Senegal is developing while Luxemburg is developed. In order for Senegal to get in the top 5, their residents need to spend more money on computers. 5.Name another county (Other than the U.S.) that stands out to you in the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. On the chart, China stands out to me the most. I understand it has a high population, but I am aware that there are very poor areas of the country.
