Artwork I am Critiquing KitKat, by Ashley m,color pencils, 2013

Description 1.What can you learn from the title of the artwork? From the title I'm assuming this artwork is going to be about the candy Kitkat. 2. What subjects in the artwork can you recognize? The subject in the art I recognize in this art work is KitKat. 3.Looking at the elements of design, describe what qualities you see: -line – the border of the kitkat logo -shape – There are no shapes -color The colors I see are white, and red. -value – There are no value either. -form – No form -texture – No texture – -space lots of space, but colored. 4. What media and techniques did the artist use? – The artist colored, and put lines

Analysis – Emphasis: the kit logo. 2.Balance: there were no balance. 3.Proportion: there is no proportion. 4.Pattern: white and red. 5.Rhythm or Movement there is no rhythm or movement 6.Unity and variety: just a kikkat logo on a red background

Interpretation 1.Is there symbolism in the artwork? What do you think it means?yes,there is a kitkat symbol and it means the kitkat candy bar. 2.What feeling do you think the artist wanted to give the viewer when looking at the work? The feeling of eating kitkat 3.Does the work remind you of other things you have experienced?yes,when I ate kitkat 4.How does the work relate to other ideas or events in the world and/or in your other classes? Other candy bars around the world.
