Non renewable resources By Jose Reyes

What are they used for?  Oil is used for different types of automobiles. It is brought from across the ocean.  Coal is burned and used for energy. This Is how we created the steam boats.

What are the effects of this resource on earth?  When oil is brought over here sometimes it gets spilled into the ocean.  And it is being burned and destroying the ozone layer.  When coal is burned it makes the green house gasses helps earths heat increase.

What is the effect of this on organisms on earth?  When oil is spilled it kills many types of animals in the ocean then since there dead the seagulls die then it’s a train reaction.  Coal is making green house gases worse so that is going to make the world hotter so it will melt the ice caps and the earth will be flooded.

How are they turned to useful energy?  Oil is made into petroleum and different things and also used in automobiles.  Coal is burned to create steam for steam boats and other things.

What are some of the dangers of transporting this?  Oil is very dangerous to transport because it can spill into the ocean and kill many different types of energy.  The danger for coal is that using vehicles pollutes the air.

Actual incident  There was an oil spill in Antarctica and local people are trying to save penguins from being killed.  There was an incident in Tennessee where 50 million gallons of coal ash was spilt through out an community. I don’t know what is being done to clean it up.
