Geographically, As a chunk of land, Iraq shares borders with Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia & Kuwait. It is the third most Oil-rich country in the world, & Oil is the countries’ main source of income.

The War in Iraq Iraq and Iran began fighting in 1980 over religious as well as border conflictions, and Britain had faded out of view in the middle-east. To fill the emptiness, as well as reassure ourselves that our economic interests remained favorable in Iraq, the U.S. supported them in the war effort with weapons, intel, and economic aid.

Semptember 11 th The Bombings of the world trade centers left everyone with shock, disbelief, and just about any other emotional reaction one could conjure. Politically, Presidant Bush reacted by waging a war, not on a specific country, but on Terror itself. More specifically, the known terrorist group, Al Quaeda.

The current state of Iraq When the movie No End in Sight was released, there were 140,000 American troops in Iraq, including 120,000 Army soldiers stationed in Iraq. Those soldiers were divided among 15 Army combat brigades plus other support units. There are currently only 50,000 soldiers in Iraq, as President Obama ordered back in February of The number of American troops in Iraq has dropped below 100,000 for the first time since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion
