What is lactose intolerance? By: Cainn Senn

What is it? Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest sugars in dairy products.

How do you get this? From the lack of enzymes that digest the lactose (sugar) in milk and metabolizes it to glucose witch is food for your blood.

How does it affect your diet? Being lactose intolerant effects your diet based on how bad you have the lack of enzymes. It affects all dairy product in your diet since you are not able to digest it.

Has technology played a role? From the high technology now days people with this disorder are able to purchase substitutes of dairy products such as soy milk and other soy products.

Lactose intolerant friendly meals Breakfast- bowl of cereal w/ soy milk Lunch- glass of soy milk and a sub with out cheese. Dinner- lasagna without feta cheese and a glass of soy milk Dessert- a soy milk ice cream cone
