Mass Production & Consumption Since the Pop art movement of the 1960’s, art has come to have an acceptable amount of selling qualities about it. Fine art continues to be used for advertising and artists have come to use some advertising techniques in their artwork. Here are some old and new examples of how art reflects the consumerist concepts of mass production and consumption that underlie our democratic society.
