JAPANESE FOOD HABITS

Japanese food habits Before eating they say "Itadakimasu" which means "We receive" After eating they say "Gochisousama" which means "It was a feast" Dinner conversations can be about anything as in most countries. They eat most meals with "Hashi" or chopsticks. There are many table manners to follow when using chopsticks. Family dinners at home often have several large dishes in the middle where you can pick and choose what you want to eat and the quantity of it. Business meals are not uncommon, but less seen than in the US. Instead of dinner, often business is done in clubs over some drinks.

Eat, Work, Exercise, Sleep and Repeat Eat – They prefer having balanced diet and avoid junk food. There diet is rich in minerals and vitamins. Work – They believe punctual at work Exercise – Moderate exercise are must Sleep – Adequate sleep is good for health. Japanese make sure they practice it. Repeat – They make sure they follow this everyday.

In modern times due to lack of steady growth in agricultural activities, the importance of agrarian diet has been overlooked. Habits The eating habits in the Indian culture are based on religion and tradition. Geographical conditions also play a big role in diet. Most of them pray before they have their food. A high-vegetable diet is preferred. Most of the people from India are vegetarian. There are three main meals in the Indian culture, so the meal timing is similar to western cultures. Cutlery is not traditionally used to eat food in the Indian culture. Indians consume foods such as curry, rice and naan bread by picking it up using the hands. Most meals are eaten with family though now eating in front of a TV is becoming the norm
