We are trying to restore trust in the marketplace Citizens want us create transparency We hired these guys because of their credibility We want to confront reality with – Our Economy – Housing Market – Earthquakes

Speed Cost Speed

“If you want to go fast, travel alone, but if you want to go far, travel together.” – African proverb “If you want to go fast, travel alone, but if you want to go far, travel together. If you want to go fast and far, travel together at Speed of Trust.”

Technology Process People

Organizations that have credible and trustworthy leaders may still fail to create organizational trust. Credible Leader Credible Organization

Listen First Keep Commitments Extend Trust Talk Straight Demonstrate Respect Create Transparency Right Wrongs Show Loyalty Deliver Results Get Better Confront Reality Clarify Expectations Practice Accountability

Behavior Tell the truth in a way people can verify. get real and genuine. Be open and authentic. err on the side of disclosure. Operate on the premise of, "What you see is what you get." Don't have hidden agendas. Don't hide information Opposite To hide, cover up, obscure, or make dark. Counterfeit – (The most difficult part) Having hidden agendas, hidden meanings, or hidden objectives. Creating illusion, pretending, "seeming" rather than "being," making things appear different than they are. Withholding information. “Trust happens when leaders are transparent.” – Jack Welch

Behavior Take issues head on, even the "undiscussables," Address the tough stuff directly. Acknowledge the unsaid. Lead out courageously in conversation. Don't skirt the real issues. Don't bury your head in the sand. Opposite To ignore reality or act as though it doesn't exit. To live in fantasy. Counterfeit Pretending to confront reality but actually evading it, focusing attention on side issues while skirting the real issues. The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality.“ - Max Depree CEO, Herman Miller

SeeSpeakBehave See the hidden variable of Trust Speak the Language of 4 Cores and 13 Behaviors Act and create organization symbols that Align with where you want to go

Trust always starts with me. Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of my four cores. Know my strengths and weaknesses with the 13 Trust Behaviors. Work on one core each quarter. Openly discuss and work on one Trust Behavior each week. (13 X 4 = 52) Internalize the Trust Behavior in project communications ( s, discussions, memos, etc.) Develop and follow trust action plans for each wave. Mentor others on my strengths. Allow myself to be mentored by others on my weaknesses. Give the world someone they can better trust.

Cayzen Technologies offers four different trust workshops and is certified in facilitating Leading at the Speed of Trust, a CoveyLink professional development seminar. This seminar contains fourteen hours of material and exercises. The Speed of Trust, a book by Stephen M.R. Covey CoveyLink.com WhoTrustsYou.com
