Purpose The Asthma and Asthma Medications in Pregnancy study is researching the effects of short-acting and long-acting beta agonists used for the treatment of asthma in pregnancy
Study Participation Self-enrollment 4-5 phone interviews (intake, 20wk, 32wk, outcome, and 6 month post-partum) Medical records pertaining to the pregnancy and outcome of the pregnancy

Who Should be Referred? GroupsCriteria Short-Acting Beta Agonist Diagnosed with asthma Exposure to a short-acting beta agonist Less than 20 weeks gestation Long-Acting Beta Agonist Diagnosed with asthma Exposure to a long-acting beta agonist (Formoterol or Salmeterol) Less than 20 weeks gestation Non-Disease Controls Pregnant women who are less than 20 weeks gestation
