Preparing Joint, NATO, & Coalition HQs For Iraq, Afghanistan, & Horn of Africa COMMUNICATION POINTS: Gen Mattis’ #1 training priority The UE program was adapted from training JFCOM-assigned HQs across multiple scenarios to a tailored mission rehearsal program to support USCENTCOM’s requirement for rotational joint force headquarters for OIF and OEF. UE program has improved over time in large part because of our partnership with service staff training programs. For example, US Army HQs preparing for MNC-I and CJTF-101 undergo rigorous training in a multi-phase program supported by US Army Battle Command Training Program and the JWFC. JWFC also partners with NATO for both the UE and ISAF Mission Rehearsal Training Programs. UE 09-1 in end of Oct 08 to train I US Corps for MNC-I JWFC observer/trainers visit the HQs approximately 90 days after transfer of authority in order to provide assistance where needed and capture most current best practices for use in the next UE.
