Drawing in Logo WhenElementary school WhatA small (cute) turtle which would draw shapes on the screen WhyInstant gratification. Kids can easily build fun applications, and can extend them to draw more complex objects if they so choose.

Simple games WhenMiddle school WhatBuilding a simple game like Black Jack or Yahtzee WhyHarness their pre-teen competitive nature. Once they are done, they can play with their new toy! There are lots of games of varying difficulty that can be easily built.
