Organize an open forum to communicate marine seafloor mapping efforts, uses for data, data availability, and data voids, including periodic workshops, Develop mapping priorities and funding approaches that emphasize joint multi-disciplinary and multi- institutional partners, Facilitate the creation of standards and protocols for data acquistion, analysis, and display. Data includes sonar, lidar, video, and still photographs. Generate, and publish quad based geologic and habitat maps through a web-based system, using digital and paper media, for scientists, industry, NGOs, and the general public. Maintain an online database of data holdings showing data types, coverage, quality of data, and citation of data-release publications. Consortium for California Coastal Geologic and Habitat Mapping Objectives

Topo-Bathy Basemap for paper maps Grid for GIS Geologic unit as a drape over bathymetry as a polygon attribute Hazards and resources active areas such as landslides as polygon attribute aggregates (sand and gravel) as polygon attribute geologic structure as line features epicenters as point features? Surficial seafloor substrate as a polygon attribute thickness?
