Issues Meals are served through centralized kitchen in the schools in rural areas in Medak district, where Kitchen sheds are available or there is enough space for construction of kitchen-cum-stores. The farthest school served by the centralized kitchen of Akshaypatra in Medak district is about 90 km and maximum travel time is around 3 hours. Low MME Utilisation (22%) Poor rate of construction of kitchen-cum-stores (only 25% constructed). The quality of the supplied rice is not good (MI Report). Delay in payment of cooking cost in Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts. (MI Report) Delay of 2-4 months in payment of honorarium to cook-cum-helpers in all the visited districts. (MI Report)
