Hypothesis (If….then…) A hypothesis is an educated guess stated in terms of cause and effect. Example: If the water temperature is increased, then the amount of sugar that can be dissolved in it will increase.

Data and Results After you have followed the steps of the experiment, record the data and find out your results. Record your data on a chart or graph. Is there anything unusual about your results?
