NUTRITION  Teenagers are recommended 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables each day  A healthy diet also includes: grain, milk, and protein  Teenagers should only drink 8-12 ounces of juice daily

TRUTHS  A juice cleanse can be harmful with the extreme sugar levels in fruit  A lot of nutritious aspects of fruit is lost through juicing  Cutting out other food groups can lead to malnutrition  Stresses out your body with lack of food  The body naturally detoxes through the liver, kidneys and gastrointestinal (GI) tract  Can be harmful to people with certain restrictions/illnesses  All benefits from this diet is psychological

NOT HEALTHY AT ALL  Going on a juice cleanse can lead to more harm than good  People need daily consumption of balanced food groups  Growing teenagers need nutrients from other foods to build muscle & bone structure
