How many types of cancer is there? There are over 200 types of cancer all over the world. There are 60 different organisms in the body were a cancer can develop. Cancer and develop in any of these cells but is much more common and transitional cells. There are different type of cures for cancer. Approximately 1500 people die each day in the United States due to cancer. About 3,400 people are diagnosed with cancer each day in the United States.

Lung cancer Lung cancer is the second most diagnose cancer among both men and women According to the national cancer institute in 2009 there were more than 219,000 people with lung cancer in the USA. There are two main types of lung cancer: non small cell lung cancer is the most common type of lung cancer. small cell lung cancer makes up about 20% of all lung cancer cases.

Skin cancer Cancer that forms in the tissues of the skin. There are several types of skin cancer. Skin cancer that forms in melanocytes skin cells that make pigment is called melanoma. Skin cancer that forms in the lower part of the epidermis the outer layer of the skin is called basal cell carcinoma. Skin cancer that forms in squamous cells (flat cells that form the surface of the skin) is called squamous cell carcinoma.

Bone cancer The majority of cancer involving the bones is metastatic disease from other remote cancers. Primary bone cancer is much rarer. The most common symptom of bone cancer is pain. The pain is usually mild initially and gradually becomes more intense. Treatment of bone cancer includes a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Treatment is based on the size and location of the cancer and whether or not the cancer has spread.

Kidney cancer Kidney cancer or cancer of the kidney, is any type of that has arisen from the kidney. Kidney cancer does not usually include a cancer that arose outside the kidney and metastasized to include metastatic cancer of the kidney. The most common types of kidney cancer include renal cell carcinoma and urothelial cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis. Renal cell carcinoma accounts for approximately 90% of all kidney cancers.

Breast cancer Breast cancer is a cancer that starts in the tissues of the breast. There are two main types of breast cancer: Ductal carcinoma starts in the tubes duct that move milk from the breast to the nipple. Most breast cancers are of this type. Lobular carcinoma starts in the parts of the breast, called lobules, that produce milk. In rare cases, breast cancer can start in other areas of the breast. Breast cancer may be invasive or noninvasive. other cancer tumor to grow. Such cancers have estrogen receptors on the surface of their cells.
