ABOUT US The onlus Vecchie e Nuove Povertà, born in Empoli in 2009, is a voluntary Association recognized by the Region of Tuscany. The Mission To counter the old and new poverty fighting against marginalization and social exclusion and relying on the transition from dependency to autonomy. THE HISTORY The VNP idea born in 2008 in response to two main needs - The poor need: the poverty is growing more and more due to the worsening of the economic and financial crises and involving new segments of the population. As a consequence also the emotional and affective dimensions are depleted. - The Institutions need: inability to respond to new emergencies

THE PROJECT TARGETS  To rethink and make effective the social spending with a new system of governance and operation through a Community Welfare Laboratory with net centricity and proper IT applications  To enhance the circular subsidiarity that enriches the territorial planning, ensuring continuity and co-creation through an alliance between public and private stakeholders and profit and non-profit organizations 5

2015 OBJECTIVES -More than 300 individual situations analyzed start actions to accompany job insertions - 10 projects of start up creation and / or new areas development of existing businesses; - 32 fall in training courses / education; - 62 projects providing not curricular work - 10 short term employment in social cooperatives and other enterprises - 18 entries with projects “Giovani Si” - 18 activations of care pathways in partnership with ASL 11, aimed at a re-employment 6

EXPECTED RESULTS The Project Values  Economic Value: increase in the number of persons who move from passive to active actors of the economic process. Increase in the number of profit companies willing to cooperate for the creation of new businesses and start-ups  Social Value: recovering of marginalized people to the socio-relational context  Cultural value: spreading in the Community the values of fairness, tolerance, mutuality and solidarity (alleviating the consequences of the socio- economic crisis) 9
