Youth ECHOES - (Europe, Careers, Hopes and fears, Opportunity, Enthusiasm (to build) a Solidary Europe) YOUTH LANGUAGE IN LITHUANIA

Lithuania Vilnius Sausio13-sios school

Class 8 B

Good to know that our language is old, venerable and close to its ancient Proto-Indo-European. Lithuanian is spoken about at the oldest universities in the world. Each nation’s speech next to the words always has foreign words, hybrids, neologisms and slang words. Such vocabulary is especially fun for young people today.

Introduction Languages are particularly susceptible to the youth. It particularly contributes to the expansion of the language, by inserting the words in your international language. However, many young people have a negative effect on the normal use of the language of slang words. Particularly at this time, young people are suffering from the language used in prisons jargon that is spreading among young people in school. Young people speak a hampered language by the fact that few young people read fiction, folk tales, sing a little song. The richness of such vocabulary is not enough for television, cable and Internet speech. If television and radio linguistic correctness is controlled, in the Internet young people receive irregular speech which is not controlled by the grown-ups. Thus young parents and teachers want to isolate young people from this language.

Investigations Jargon – a specific, distorted language, which from the literary language and local dialects differ mainly in the vocabulary and phraseology, but does not have its own phonetic and grammatical system; in a broad sense - irregular, vulgar, contaminated language. Jargon can be seen as a social process, and as a kind of index language, resulting in different languages at the junction. It is because of these characteristics of their specific jargon can be a kind of different nationalities in a common language. Youth slang is a multinational peer communication. Borrowings from Russian and English language analysis rank the words into groups according to their lending way to integrate them into the language of the degree and significance of the change. The easiest way to debt Lithuanian language - it is a direct transfer from one similar system to another.
