Brainsweat: The Anatomy of Wisdom Quite the Character James 3:13–18

Memory Verse Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13

Learning Goals Explore: Students will understand that walking in Godly wisdom affects everyday life. Transform: Students will contrast worldly wisdom with the way that Godly wisdom impacts their decisions in life.

Discussion Who are some people you would consider wise? What makes them wise? What are some indications in making a decision that you are acting out of selfless wisdom or selfish gain? What are some decisions you have made by following God’s lead only to have those close to you question your actions? What kind of change do you think there would be in your circle of influence if you chose to start making all of your daily decisions based on Godly wisdom? Who are those you tend to follow in worldly wisdom? Why do you think you do this? What needs to happen in order to change your mindset on this?
