 What is Procrastination?  In a nutshell, you procrastinate when you put off things that you should be focusing on right now, usually in favor of doing something that is more enjoyable or that you’re more comfortable doing.  According to psychologist Professor Clarry Lay, a prominent writer on procrastination, procrastination occurs when there’s “a temporal gap between intended behavior and enacted behavior.” That is, procrastination is occurring when there’s a significant time period between when people intend to do a job, and when they actually do it.

 There are many ways to avoid success in life, but the most sure-fire just might be procrastination. Procrastinators sabotage themselves. They put obstacles in their own path. They actually choose paths that hurt their performance.procrastination  Why would people do that?

 The keys to controlling this destructive habit are: ◦ to recognise when you start procrastinating, ◦ understand why it happens (even to the best of us), and ◦ take active steps to manage your time and outcomes better

 Making Change Happen in NEL LPC area Pharmacies  Making change happen in your pharmacy is a challenge - in particular change impacting your people.  You will have to change your pharmacy's business model – restructuring  You may be inventing new ways of Momentum 4 Change will: a) advise you on your pharmacy's change management plans; b) critique and review the people implications of your change project(s); c) guide you to execute your change management project(s); d) play a leading part in influencing commissioners to help you delivering the change you require; e) advise you on how you need to embed change within your pharmacy.

 Now get ready for this afternoon’s workshop
