The Apprenticeship framework comprises: Competency (NVQ/Diploma) Technical Knowledge (Certificate/ Diploma) (Functional/ Key Skills/ Functional G.C.S.E) Maths/English/ICT At Level 2 & 3 only Personal Learning & Thinking skills At level 2 & 3 only Employee Rights & Responsibilities At Level 2 & 3 only Guided Learning Hours Additional: Entry Conditions, Equality & Diversity, Progression (Non Statutory)
5 Insert presentation title here 00/00/2012 What is an Apprenticeship? A work-based training programme designed for employers by employers, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. To up-skill existing staff or bring in new recruits. Offered at three levels: – Intermediate Apprenticeships (Level 2) (5 GCSEs A-C) – Advanced Apprenticeships (Level 3) and (2 A-Levels) – Higher Apprenticeships (Level 4 and above) (HNC/HND/Degree) Usually lasting from one to four years. There are over 250 types of Apprenticeships suitable for hundreds of job roles from accountancy to animal care to engineering and construction.
