Syllabus Units begin on Wed and end on Tues During each unit you will have reading and DB You will have four projects (units 2,5,7 & 9) All reading, DB’s and projects are expected to be completed by Tues 11:59pm ET

DB…. This unit you have one DB question and an introduction – therefore, the unit requirements are to make two main posts (DB response and introduction response) and two responses to classmates per main post. Weeks which there are 2 DB questions you are to provide an initial post to each DB questions in addition to two responses to peers per each initial DB response.

DB… IN SUM: Two main posts Two responses each main post So you will have six entries on the DB per Unit. Please try to post your Main Post early in the week to provide the best opportunity for responses!!

Main posts Must answer all the questions asked in such away that is it very clear that you’ve answered all key elements of the question(s) You will be asked to repost if you do not answer the question(s) completely addressing all elements Your main post should reflect your understanding based on the text and our seminar. Your main post must include a reference at the bottom showing where you learned your information

Responses to classmates must be academic in nature and not merely represent your opinions Opinions again are important, but we are interested to see that you are learning the material

Outcomes Projects will be graded on both form and content Please refrain from formatting your paper with pictures, watermarks, backgrounds or text boxes Projects should have three parts Cover page Introduction, Body and Conclusion (Properly cited) Reference list 1” margins, 12pnt, double spaced, Times New Roman font, follow APA 6th ed. Formatting, and cite your work.

Outcomes Projects will be graded on both form and content Content should be free of grammatical errors Complete sentences must be presented with logical transition between thoughts – paragraphs. If writing is troublesome for you, contact the writing center for help.

Late work Discussion Questions: Due by the Tuesday ending each unit. Late Projects: Projects are due Tuesday 11:59 pm ET of their assigned Unit. Late Penalty Policy for Projects: Late projects (with extenuating circumstances) It is your responsibility to inform me (ahead of time, whenever possible) of extenuating circumstances that might prevent you from completing projects by the assigned deadline.  In those situations, we will work together to come up with a mutually acceptable alternative. Prior notification does not automatically result in a waiver of the late penalties. Late projects (without extenuating circumstances) are accepted with a penalty of one letter grade per week (not to exceed a 3 letter grade penalty. For example, you submit an “A” paper 3 weeks late, you would earn a grade of a “D” ). 

Late work Late Policy for FINAL PROJECTS: Final Projects are due the Tuesday of Unit 9!!! Late work will be graded after on time work grades have been completed. Grades will be posted by Sunday 11.:59pm EST after the close of each unit

Tutoring Tutoring and many other resources are available in the Kaplan University Writing Center. You can find everything from using commas to conducting research.  You can learn APA citation, review grammar, see sample essays, and this is just scratching the surface!  In addition, you can also chat with a live tutor during live tutoring hours (listed in the Writing Center) who can help you locate material within the Writing Center, understand a particular assignment, and explore the Kaplan library.  Finally, you can submit a paper and receive comments specific to that paper within 48-72 hours.
