Weather and Climate

  Weather is the short term change in the air for a given place and time.  Climate is a region’s average weather conditions over a long period of time. Weather and Climate

  Prevailing winds are winds that blow in the same direction over large areas of Earth.  Ocean currents are large streams of surface seawater.  Fronts are places where 2 air masses of different temperatures or moisture content meet together. Wind and Water

  Rain shadow affect occurs when moisture in the ocean air falls on the mountainside facing the wind. Little moisture remains to fall on the other side, creating a rain shadow. Water and Mountains
