What is a sinkhole? A sink hole is a natural depression or hole in the earth's surface caused by water erosion. They are formed especially where the earth surface is made of limestone or any other carbonate rock. Water dissolves these rocks making the land above heavy and eventually making it collapse to form a sink hole.

The Everglades The Everglades are located in the southern portion of Florida. The Everglades are shaped by fire and water, experiencing flooding in the wet season and drought in the dry season. The Everglades is home to a vast selection of plants and animals that have adapted to a wet environment.
