Break Even Analysis 43 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Marketing Plan Primary Market  4.9 million Americans who have speech disorders Secondary Markets  2.4 million Americans who use English as a second language  2.3 million iPhones sold 44 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Marketing Plan How can you hear about iSa?  iTunes  iSa Website  Beta Testing reviews 45 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Marketing Plan We will offer more than the competition /05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Marketing Plan Where we really separate ourselves! 47 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Risks A – Difficult to type B – Difficult to afford C – Hardware becomes outdated D – Database entry causes delays 48 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Difficult to Type 20% of those with speech disabilities also have major physical disabilities. Mitigation: iSa will have image groupings that allow the user to press the image to have the iSa speak a set phrase, instead of requiring large amounts of typing. American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)‏ 49 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Difficult to Afford 60% of Americans have private health plans. Most health plans do not cover"speech-language pathology," "speech pathology," "speech therapy," "hearing care," or "audiology." Mitigation: The iSa will have a selling point of $499, making it more affordable then the competition. Census.gov 50 05/05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Outdated Hardware It is inevitable that the hardware will become outdated. The software will need to be ported to the new hardware when the time comes. Mitigation: The coding of iSa will be designed to be ported from one device to another /05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Database delays Filling a database is time consuming. This presents a large possibility for delays. Mitigation: iSa will use SQLite which has a “zero-configuration” database. Lowers the time for setting up the database for entry, providing more time for data entry /05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Return on Investment The customer will gain a tool that will aid in communication and help to improve their overall quality of life /05/08 CS410 Blue Team

Return on Investment Providing a solution to make life better for people with speech disorders /05/08 CS410 Blue Team
