However, at present, every State has its own solution to internal IdM issues, generally designed with little regard to compatibility with other national solutions Practical objective of GUIDE is to create an architecture to solve cross- border compatibility issues and to raise awareness of the need for improvements in cross-border IdM among EU Member States
