Responsibilities of the Admin. Council (formerly called church board) To develop with the pastor the church’s Mission Statement which clearly defines who we are and what we are about. Establishes short and long term goals for the church. Establishes the budget based on input by the mission team and which also corresponds to the goals of the church. Establishes the boundaries in which the pastor, staff and mission team are to adhere to. Establish the criteria for yearly evaluations. This groups meets infrequently (e.g. 4 times/year)

Pastor The pastor provides vision, direction and leadership to the church by working with the Admin. council and leading the mission team and staff.

Mission Team and Staff Their task is to help implement the vision and goals of the church laid out by the Admin. Council. They do this by brainstorming together and developing programs and activities that will equip the members of the church to fulfill their mission and ministry. The mission team will meet on a monthly basis.

Congregation This system will provide opportunities for everyone in the congregation to get involved in specific ministries within the church. It will also enhance communication between the mission team, the different committees, and the congregation as a whole.

Conclusion By organizing and structuring our church in a more Biblical way: 1. We are able to work together more as a team. 2. We are able to become more mission oriented. 3. And we are empowering people to fulfill their mission and ministry with the church.
