School  Went to Holiday till 3 rd grade, then Wood Lawn until high school, for 9 th & 10 th Benson 11 th & 12 th Jefferson  Graduated from Jefferson in 1955  Tried track at Benson and Jefferson  Was very shy in High school

Jobs  16 years in computer graphics- Elections & Television channel 6  Driver for tri-met lift services for disabled to and from appointments  Worked in Air Force Supply  Went to air force in Texas in 1957  Volunteers to help disabled veterans

Marriage  Married twice, divorced twice they’re still friends  He still talks to all the kids

Things He Likes…  Loves Ray Charles, James Brown  Favorite song- Bridge over troubled water by Simon and Garfunkle  Three Musketeers & Paydays  Monopoly & Checkers  Spaghetti, Hot Cakes & Waffles  Favorite Colors are sun burst orange, green and mauve  Loves Biking  Strong Advocate in Student Education

Family Time…  Watched Smokey the Bear after school  Watched the radio with family  His mom named him Ron after a famous actor named Ronald Coleman

More Facts about Ron  First car was a Pontiac convertible  Played soft ball at the stte prison  Likes law & order, also NCIS  Played 7 man touch Football  Got in lots of fights so he didn’t get very many Air Force stripes. He only got two.

Life Experiences  Best experiences was in Benson in his shop classes.  Kennedy got shot in 1963, year he remembers  Is part of the N.A.B.V.E.T.S National Association for Black Veterans, he is the Office Manager
