Coordinates & Rotations 1

The objective of this lesson is: To plot a shape and rotate it for a given rule.

Rotation Trace out the new position of the shape. Trace out the shape to be rotated. Hold your pencil on the coordinate of the centre of rotation. Rotate shape A clockwise centre Rotate the shape clockwise.

Rotation Trace out the new position of the shape. Trace out the shape to be rotated. Hold your pencil on the coordinate of the centre of rotation y x A Rotate shape A anticlockwise centre Rotate the shape anticlockwise.

Rotation Trace out the new position of the shape. Trace out the shape to be rotated. Hold your pencil on the coordinate of the centre of rotation. Rotate shape A anticlockwise centre Rotate the shape anticlockwise y x A

Plenary You should be able to plot a shape and rotate it given the centre and angle of rotation.
