BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT MRS. CONTIPODERO’S CLASS Teaching Philosophy  Respect  Responsibility  Honesty

HOMEWORK/BEHAVIORAL RECORD  Each fifth grade student is expected to read two lines or 30 minutes a night for One Hundred Book Challenge. Parents must sign-off on this nightly in the 100 B.C. log, which can be found in your child’s two-inch binder.  If a child misses a homework, I will ask that it be completed by the next day. If a child misses two homework assignments in the same week, I will a parent and ask that you ensure that the work is completed by the next school day.  A weekly folder will be sent home each Tuesday with important information/flyers and tests or quizzes that need a parent signature.

KIDBIZ 3000  User Name and Password will be given and placed in the 100 Book Challenge section of the two-inch binder.  Use of the mobile lab for class will occur once a week.  Activities will be assigned for homework on a weekly basis by your child’s Reading teacher.

PARENT LIST TO REVIEW  Please read your child’s first writing piece about “Heart Mapping”and please respond.  Please return the survey listed under “Parents are Partners” on this website about your child and remember to include cell phone numbers! I do have a printed copy for anyone that would like it.  Remember to sign-up for a November conference with your child’s teachers for Language Arts and Math on Sign-up Genius.  Please volunteer to be a helper for class parties or a Library Volunteer on Tuesdays from 9:30-10:00 by signing the HSA list.  Send in a healthy snack each day.  When in doubt about homework, please check my website or me that day.
