QOD Define “Anatomy” Define “Physiology” Why study A&P?

Knowledge of one's body, its structure (how it is put together) and its function (how it works) represents some of the most practical, useful information a person could possibly want to possess.” Dr. Roy Glover, Medical Director Former Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology University of Michigan

Course Description Anatomy is defined as the branch of science that studies the structure of body parts and their organization. Anatomy is defined as the branch of science that studies the structure of body parts and their organization. Physiology is defined as the branch of science that studies how these parts function. Physiology is defined as the branch of science that studies how these parts function. The Skeletal system, the Muscular system, the Nervous system, the Endocrine system, the Cardiovascular system, the Lymphatic system, the Digestive system, the Respiratory system, the Urinary system, the Reproductive system and the Integumentary system will all be considered. A male patient in your office presents with the following: his hair appears to be thinning, skin is dry and nails are brittle. He complains that he has trouble concentrating and remembering things, like where his keys are. He reports feeling tired on a regular basis.
