Course Description  This course is the second half of a two year program in Global History. We begin with the Enlightenment and Revolutions during the 17 th century and continue chronologically through modern times.  There will be a comprehensive Regents Examination in June based on material from both freshman and sophomore years of study.  Homework is posted on the web page and sent out via Twitter  Regents Review will be offered after school beginning in May

Supplies  Students will be required to come to class prepared each day with a pen, pencil, highlighter, and binder  Texts can be left at home. Students will be told in advance when to bring them in. Copies of the text are available in the library for student use.  It is recommended that students purchase the Prentice Hall Regents Review Book. It will be sold in school in the spring.

Grading Policy  Exams (55%) will be given every 2-3 weeks and are always announced well in advance.  Quizzes (25%) will be given regularly (both announced and unannounced).  Homework (20%)will be assigned regularly and graded.  late homework WILL NOT be accepted unless a student was legally absent  Essays, both Thematic and Document-Based, will be assigned each quarter.
