Hull Fair Haiku Creative Writing 10/10/05

Aims – by the end of the session you will be able to: explain the meaning of the word syllable Understand the form of a Japanese Haiku poem Find some appropriate adjectives for the theme of Hull Fair and know how many syllables they contain Write a Haiku poem to reflect the atmosphere of Hull Fair Research the Hull project if time allows

What is a syllable? In pairs, look in a dictionary and find the word ‘syllable’ Write down the definition of the word syllable Feed back to the whole group
